Dr. Vivek Sharma
M.Sc. Ag. (Dairy Economics) A three years professional degree from the Department of Economics, Statistics and Management, National Dairy Research Institute (I.C.A.R), Karnal, (1981). Ph.D. in Economics: From Department of Regional Planning and Economic Growth, Barkatullah University, Bhopal, on Sustainable Development through Resource Management. Started his career in urban & regional planning and research and later on worked extensively on watershed, forestry and livestock policy planning, etc. Capacity builder and a trainer with the leadership qualities, from a good planner to an efficient implementer with the view of an economist, he had raised the organization (CARD) from ground zero to the zenith with his zeal and enthusiasm. His total devotion to build the organisation has made him a synonym with CARD.
Dr(Mrs) Varinder Gandhi
She's the Principal of Guru Nanak Girls College, Yamuna Nagar (Haryana). She did her Ph.D and Masters in English literature, has a teaching experience of 30 years. From a Professor of English Literature, guide to many students who have completed their M.Phil under her guidance, a proficient author of various books (Simran's Journey Towards Esternal Light, A Biography; published under Gurnoor Publications, Sow the Seeds of Love Rotary news. 20(2): 59, Communication Skill in english (Second Edition), and many more) she has gracefully endured her every post. Her discipline in life and her sanguine personality is well reflected in the work she does. Her perseverance has paid by being the principal of the college from where she graduated. As (Honarary) Vice Chairperson of CARD, she makes sure that she doesnt miss any official occasion.
Ms Madhura Rawat
A Graduate in Public Relations and M.Phil in Social Science from Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Barkatullah University, Bhopal, respectively, She is the Member Secretary of CARD, besides being the early founder group member. In addition to her handling of many portfolios of CARD she is also National Level Monitor for MoRD and a National Level Trainer for the Census 2011 operations. A proficient micro planner, master at the women and child development projects and an adroit in gender and communication, she is an ace in the monitoring and evaluation division. Her biggest asset however is the patience which is reflected in a systematic outcome of the tasks she accoplishes as the Regional Head of Western Madhya Pradesh region.
M.Com degree makes him a natural successor as Finance Controller of the organisation (a founder member). He is responsible for accounts management and planning, audit, taxation, etc for the organisation. He is also responsible for coverage of employees under provident fund, gratuity and mrdi-claim, group insurance, accidental assurance, etc. Past experience in Survey and Evaluation has taught him the nuances of Administration and Financial Management. His penny wise but not pounds foolish approach has built rich resources in CARD in a short spell of a decade. The Head Office building of CARD is the outcome of his continuous zeal and hard work. His dedication and self-less service for the organisation are his assets.
Mr. Rajesh Sharma, Ex-Executive Director, HUDCO is a BE(Civil), AMIE, MIE, PGD (UM and HRD) has also represented as Board member on MP Housing Board, MP Police Corporation and Cent Bank for 5 years. He has been involved in preparation of training module on low cost building material and technologies and in finalization of Disaster Mitigation manual by BMC, Mumbai. He is one of the authors of Earth Quake Manual and has represented Govt. of India on cost effective technologies and building material in African Countries. He has to his credit papers presented on disaster mitigation, cost effective building technologies at National/International level. He is founder member of CARD.
D K Rai
Dinesh Rai, a Food Technologist from NDRI, served WB funded operation flood project in Madhya Pradesh for almost 35 years. He was involved in managing and turning around multiple Government milk schemes and cooperative milk unions as Profit Centre Head. He also lead the Quality Control operations to ensure delivery of hygienic milk and milk products to citizens of MP, on the one hand and ensuring quality based transparent pricing of lakhs of rural milk producers. Mr. Rai was also heading virtual office of APEDA in MP and involved with setting up of AEZs in the state at the policy evolution level. As a founder member of CARD he is always standing along in the time of need.
A Post Graduate in Psychology ; Management (MBA) and LL.B , he has had diverse exposure of 35 years put together in Private as well as in Public sector at senior levels in almost all disciplines including Tribal Welfare, mainly in the Government Cooperative Body. He worked in TRIFED under Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India in various senior capacities for over 28 years and held the positions of Executive Director and Managing Director before his superannuation in April, 2016. He also represented as Director on the Boards of "North Eastern Handicraft and Handloom Development Corporation Ltd.", Ministry of DONER for 8 years and "National Scheduled Tribes Finance Development Corporation". He has vast experience in Marketing Development, Training, Personnel, Legal, MIS, etc. Besides he has successfully executed livelihood initiatives of Skill Up-gradation & Capacity Building of Tribal Artisans, Procurement & Marketing of Agricultural Produce, Minor Forest Produce and Handicrafts promotion.
Dr. Rajvir Singh
Dr. Raj Vir Singh, Member (Non-Official), Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices is Farmers’ Representative and a progressive farmer having rural background, practical experience of farming and academic qualifications in Agriculture and Economics. Awarded Masters (1968) and Doctoral (1971) Degree in Agricultural Economics form prestigious Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, has published 175 research papers, 25 research reports and 8 technical bulletins and also drafted National Livestock Policy for the Government of India, New Delhi. He has organized, supervised, coordinated and Monitored research programmes in the Economics, Statistics and Marketing at National Level as Assistant Director General, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, research and academic activities as Head, Division of Economics, and as Director & Vice- Chancellor, National Dairy Research Institute.
Amresh Saxena has been associated with CARD from day one. He started his carrer with National Institute of Urban Affairs and also worked in National Centre for Human Settlemtns & Environment an NGO in Madhya Pradesh. Later he shifted his carrer in Corporate Worlds. Besides part of early founder group member, an accomplised Operations Head with demonstrated experience and expertise in IT & Manufacturing, business operations in India & Global, Currently holding a senior position with Top notch IT MNC in Delhi area. Specialization in HR and possess other recognized skills in handling Finance & Accounts, Administration and IT. He is instrumental in existance and functioning of liaison Office of CARD in Delhi since 2003.
First batch pass out from IIFM, Bhopal she has over 26 years of experience of working in Tribal and Rural Livelihoods initiatives space in India and South Asia (Pakistan and Nepal) which includes working in Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED), Ministry of Tribal Affairs, and Government of India for promoting livelihoods of those whose lives depend on the Non-Farm products (including collection of Non Timber Forest Produce), Tribal Handlooms and Handicrafts. She has a passion for working in the craft sector coupled with a rich experience of working at the policy level and at the grassroots. An independent thinker and designer of out of the box strategies and working/leading teams has been her strength.
Dr Giriraj Vyas
Dr Vyas is a physician with a Bachelors degree in Ayurveda with Modern Medicine Surgery (BAMS) and is also Fellow of College of Chest Physician (FCCP) and Medivisa International Practitioner (MIP), Australia. He is posted as Medical Officer in Government of Madhya Pradesh. He practices medical profession as a passion and service to the poor. His long association and persistent convincing has motivated CARD in stepping in the health sector.
Dr. MS Virdi
Dr MS Virdi was once known as the poly technology face of Madhya Pradesh. He retired as Director, Poly Technology Transfer Centre, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. He has introduced large number of new technologies in rural sector of Madhya Pradesh for transformation of life and employment generation. He has four books to his credit in addition to two hundred technical papers and articles. He’s associated with CARD for the last one decade.
Masters Degree in Agriculture (Soil Science) Kanpur Agricultural College, Masters in Forestry (AIFC, Dehra Dun) Ph.D. Agric and Forest Ecology CAZRI, Jodhpur & Sagar University, Sagar (M.P) He specialises in SFM, NTFP, Production Forestry and Forest based livelihood, Forest Certification, Certification of NTFP management and Plantation Forestry. Dr Ram Prasad is an Indian Forest Services (IFS) officer of 1970 batch who reached zenith in the Forest Department (PCCF, FD, GoMP; Director, IIFM, Bhopal; Director, Forestry Research Institute, Jabalpur). Not only this, he also served as the Vice Chanseller, Barkatullah University, Bhopal (2003-2005). Thus, the credentials of Dr. Ram Prasad are a mix of a forestry researcher and an educationist. He is advisor at International Centre of Community Forestry, IIFM, Bhopal and Chief Technical Advisor NTFP Centre of Excellence, Government of Tripura.
